This Free Downtown Dallas Pool Has Killer Views For Labor Day Weekend
Sip and swim, can your poolside Labor Day get better than that in Dallas? The answer is most likely no! There's only two more days till you're on your way (far away from work) to a long, Labor Day weekend. This year the only place you need to be is poolside and Waterproof might just be the spot to gather your best gals and guys.
Waterproof is the 19th floor rooftop pool at The Statler, and it's stunning. There's tons of rooftop pools in Dallas but this one isn't just a pool. Pool bar by day and rooftop lounge by night, you can truly get your drink on all day long. Talk about getting the best pics for #LaborDay2019. It's also free and sports one of the best views of downtown Dallas.
First of all, Waterproof does theme days all weekend long. If you happen to get off early on Friday, you could make it in time for their Friday kickoff. From 12 to 6pm, they have a bubble bar and beer bucket special. That basically means that for the first hour you can get $2 sliders, and from 4 to 6pm you can get half off food and drinks for social hour. Six hours of happy hour specials is a great kickoff to the weekend and nice on the wallet, right?
On Saturday the pool bar turns up with a DJ in tow. DJs Michael Jerome and Willie Trimmer play tunes to get the party going in the pool and poolside. Afterwards why don't you take a break to slip out of your swimsuit and throw on a cocktail dress to watch the sunset as the pool area turns into a lounge. If you really want to feel fancy, you can opt to do bottle service which includes a cabana for your group. This rooftop was once the location where a helipad used to be and it would welcome the rich folks to The Statler. Be just as glamourous by splitting a bottle with your friends taking in a panoramic view of the city's skyline.
