This San Diego Path Leads You To A Swing With The Most Breathtaking Views
This sunny city is full of wonderful surprises and hidden gems. These Secret Swings in San Diego are the perfect example. Check out those breathtaking ocean views!
Picture secret swings perched on cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean. These hidden swings are San Diego’s ultimate treasure hunt.
Over the years, they’ve been taken down and put up again in different locations. It’s up to the locals and adventurers to keep track of them. Luckily, we’ve scoped out their latest spot.
You can find the hidden swings atop a rolling green hill in the neighborhood of La Jolla, close to Scripps Pier and UC San Diego. You’ll take a short walk up Expedition Way to a scenic location that’s got all the views.
It can be a little tricky to find at first. As you walk down Expedition Way towards Birch Aquarium, keep an eye open for a parking lot on your left side. Enter the parking lot and walk towards the cul-de-sac. You should see two trees with a small wooden bridge between them. Follow the path and you should find the tree swings to your left.
Over the years, there have been all sorts of fun, handmade swing benches here. Colorful seats and Instagrammable quotes painted on the wood such as “Live for the moment you can’t put into words” make it the perfect spot for pictures.
The swing’s colors and quotes change often. You never know what it’s going to be. But that's just part of the adventure!
Since the swing’s locations change often, be sure to check the #secretswings in La Jolla out on Instagram before you go. The swing’s appearance and mystery locations are part of what makes them so fun!
