These Restaurants Are Officially Open At Union Station's Brand New Retail Level In Toronto
After what seems like years of endless renovations at Toronto's Union Station, the city is finally starting to see all that hard work take shape. The first phase of the massive revitalization project for the city's busiest transit centre has opened to the public - a new retail area and food court at Union's lower level.
Union Station is marking the grand opening of the lower level today with the official reveal of The Union Food Court, complete with 10 new food retailers and a massive seating area. All of which are now open for business as of this morning.

The lower level itself is 25,000 square feet, and will also be the city's newest destination for sports game live streams, music performances and major events. It also has its own Toronto Public Library digital self-service kiosk for e-book and audiobook downloading on the go.
These are the food vendors that are now open at The Union Food Court:
- Bangkok Buri
- Loaded Pierogi
- McDonald’s
- Paramount Fine Foods
- Pizza Pizza
- Roywoods
- Scaccia (opening date TBA)
- Shanghai 360
- Sushi Shop
- Tim Hortons
At the Front Street Promenade, you'll soon be able to find the following retailers -Cabin, Cocktail Emporium, LodinG and Ugly Dukling.
Union Station's new food and drink offerings are some of the most unique in the city. Bangkok Buri is the first and only food court concept by one of Toronto's most popular Thai restaurants, Khao San Road. At the GO York Concourse, McDonald's has opened their first McCafe standalone location in Canada.
Union Station says that their plan for the reimagined transit hub is to "create an urban culinary experience" with over 100 individual shops and food vendors, a curated fresh market, and of course, the new food court. The city says that Union Station's new retail spaces will create a total of 300 new jobs.
