This Is How Much Money Each Province Is Spending On Black Friday And One Is Blowing Way More Than Others

Well that's an unexpected front runner!

While Black Friday was traditionally a holiday celebrated over in the United States, the day of deals has made its way across the Canadian border. Whether you are doing some personal shopping or getting holiday gifts for less, all of North America is prepared to shop until they drop this Friday.

The shopping holiday has gained so much popularity as of late that Canadians have been setting aside extra cash in favour of Black Friday rather than Boxing Day. Whether they stick to their budgets is of course up to them, but thanks to data from the Leger 2018 RCC Holiday Shopping Survey and published by Global News, we now know what the average resident of each province is expecting to spend.

Here's what people in every part of Canada plan to spend on Black Friday sales, ranked from the smallest to largest average personal budget.

1. Atlantic Canada

Of course, the provinces that have a lower planned spending amount are the ones with a higher percentage that expect to stick to their budget. Though what's most surprising about this list is that of all places, Atlantic Canada has beat out Ontario and British Columbia when it comes to expected spending.

Regardless of who is spending what, it's clear that Black Friday has overthrown Boxing Day as the day of deals. Whether you are participating in it or Cyber Monday, you can click here to check out a complete list of all of the greatest deals available for Canadians!
