This New Canadian Study Reveals How Charming You Are With Just 6 Questions

And the results are surprising 😯

Charming and charismatic may not be the way you describe yourself, but a new study by researchers are the University of Toronto has led to a foolproof test that will give you a charismatic rating based on science.

The new paper released by UofT researchers concludes that the average person cannot quantify charisma, but after conducting a series of studies, researchers have determined that a person's charisma is determined mostly by two distinct factors: influence and affability.

Published in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, their paper includes six simple questions that they say can determine just how charismatic you are. According to the paper, you simply have to rate yourself on a scale of 1 to 5 when responding to the following question: I am someone who...

1. has a presence in a room

2. has the ability to influence people

3. knows how to lead a group

4. makes people feel comfortable

5. smiles at people often

6. can get along with anyone

Once you've answered the above questions with an answer between 1 and 5, divide your total score by six. This is your average "charisma score."

If your score is higher than 3.7, congratulations! You're officially more charismatic than the average person. You probably have a lot of friends and were the popular kid in high school.

Each of the questions you answered were developed through multiple studies the researchers conducted, with a total of nearly 1,000 participants who rated their charisma level. Researchers then compiled the data and concluded that charisma isn't just some intuitive je ne sais quoi, but rather it's a quantifiable social asset that can have a huge impact on social relationships and personal success.
