These Gorgeous Treehouses Near Washington Have Zip Lines & A Tarzan Swing
Thanks to that rainforest-friendly weather, the Pacific Northwest is known for some of the largest trees in the world. And that's got to have some perks. Aside from hiking up to see these giants, you can actually live in them and experience the wild side. Like at this Oregon treehouse near Washington that comes with actual zip lines and Tarzan swings!
Located in Takilma, Oregon, the Out 'n' About "Treesort" is only a road trip away from the Evergreen State.
Sitting as part of 36 acres of private pastures and woods next to Siskiyou National Forest's old-growth wilderness, there are 16 homes aloft in the trees. These are all connected by a web of suspended walkways.
It's available to book through the year although the "high" season is between June and September.
Prices to spend a night at this spot start at $150 for two people and go up to $330 per night for four guests. If a friend decides to gatecrash your lofty plan, it only costs $25 for an extra person.
Since each of the treehouses are unique, you can check here to see which one is a good fit for you and your squad.
The property also has a swimming pool pumped with water from the Illinois River to cool off, giant swings, a communal fire pit, and a BBQ grill.
WiFi access, games, and books are available in a common area too.
One of their most-sought-after dwellings is the Majestree. Sitting up at 47 feet from the ground, this is their tallest one yet.

The only way to get here is by climbing several flights of stairs and crossing two suspension bridges.
The Majestree room comes with a queen bed, two double beds in the sleeping loft accessible by a ladder, a full bathroom, and a cute kitchenette with appliances to whip up some quick meals.
While staying here is an adventure in itself, the property is also home to zipline adventures right outside your door.
You can swing from one canopy to another, 650-feet in the air for $65 per person. The seven-line course is perfect for adventure-seekers.
The 50-foot "Tarzan" pendulum swing can be added to the package for $15 too.
You'll need to hold on tight as you're pulled up and then you can let go for a thrilling feat!
If this adrenaline-pumping activity is not your style, the Treesort also has a horse ranch where you can giddy up around the meadows for $60 per hour.
There are also plenty of trails to go chase wildflowers or waterfalls in the Illinois Valley and the nearby Redwood Coast if you decide to get outside.
If you've ever wanted to know what a grownup playhouse feels like, this is probably it. And by the looks of it, summer seems pretty sorted to us.
