Get Those Umbrellas Ready Because Tampa Is About To Get Hit Hard With More Storms This Week
As warmer weather rolls in and the humidity starts to rise, we know that spring is in the air - or as we Floridians fondly know it: the rainy season. April showers are supposed to bring May flowers, but it looks like Tampa is also in for some May thunderstorms over the coming days.
Thunderstorms are frequent in the upcoming forecast for The Bay, and we're gonna have our umbrellas ready. With a total of 5 stormy days coming our way, we don't want to be caught out unexpectedly in the rain, especially not without a way to stay dry. Tampa is looking at seeing some storms in the evening today, with a 60% chance of precipitation. One can expect a high of 83º F., with a low of 73º F. as the storm makes its way through Tampa.
Along with rain showers in the forecast for today, Tampeños can expect to see scattered thunderstorms on Monday, May 13th, isolated thunderstorms on Tuesday the 14th and Wednesday the 15th. Ending next week on Friday, May 24th, there will be more evening thunderstorms with temperatures topping out as a hot day at a sweltering 90º, dropping to a more comfortable 74º as the storm makes way in the evening.
It's not all rain clouds for Tampa Bay though, we do live in the Sunshine State after all - and it looks like those sunny days are going to keep your weekends dry for you to enjoy! One can expect to see bright sunshiney days Sunday, May 12, Friday - Sunday the 17th through 19th, as well as on May 23rd. A couple of cloudy days on the 16th, 20th and 21st are expected but are looking like they'll be nice and dry.
