According to the Toronto police report, officers were on patrol at around 2:27 a.m. on Monday morning in the area of Woodward Avenue at Uphill Avenue in North York.

There, they stumbled across a man on a snowbank just outside Humber River Hospital without any vital signs and suffering from what looked like gunshot wounds.

In footage from a nearby surveillance camera obtained by CP24, a dark-coloured car can be seen pulling over near Humber River Hospital’s campus.

Two suspects exit the car and leave what appears to be a human body on the sidewalk. The two then jump back into the car and drive away.

Timestamps from the footage suggest that police came across the body around 15 minutes after it had been dumped, per Global News.

Investigators say that the only description they currently have of the vehicle is that it was a dark sedan.

“We are still in the process of getting any video,” Det. Mike McGinn said, per CP24.

“We are going to be canvassing but if you do have video, please contact the homicide squad.”

The victim has not been identified but police say that he is believed to be in his mid-20s, via CTV News.

Arnel Dimabuy, a neighbour in the area told Global he was awake late working at home when police knocked on his door asking to see his surveillance footage.

"It’s a little bit scary, dumping a body in front of your house,” Dimabuy said. “It’s a good thing that the first person who saw this body was a police officer."

Dimabuy insists he did not hear any gunshots, but he did reveal it's not the first time police have asked him for his CCTV footage.

This is Toronto's 13th homicide of the year.

The very first of the decade occurred on New Year's Day itself where one man was killed and two others injured.

At the moment, the investigation is ongoing and officers are asking the public or anyone who may have info or who was in the area at the time to contact police.
