Toronto Is Ranked The City With The Best Restaurants In Canada

Toronto is no stranger to the food scene. This year, 40 of its restaurants made it on Yelp Canada's list of the top 100 restaurants in the country, making it the Canadian city with the most top restaurants on the ranking.

Brenae Leary, the PR manager at Yelp, stated that the list proves Toronto as "one of Canada's top foodie destinations." The list is based on the Canadian restaurants that received the highest ratings and best reviews on the website. The top-ranked restaurants all had dominant 4 or 5 star ratings, and hundreds of reviews by the public.

Yelp Canada's list isn't the only foodie ranking that Toronto managed to place on. 35 of its restaurants were also included on OpenTable's annual ranking, and it has dominated Canada's 100 Best Restaurants magazine for two years in a row now.

Other cities on the Yelp Canada list include Vancouver, which landed 17 spots on the ranking, and Montreal, which landed 12. Edmonton, Calgary and Halifax also had two restaurants each that made the list.
