Toronto ranked sixth out of 80 of the listed cities with a total score of 94.09, making it one of the most desirable cities to work remotely from in the world, according to the study.

Toronto came up with a high overall score for remote living compliance, coming in 5 for ease of compliance and 14 for legal requirements. However, it did fall short by not having visa availability.

When it comes to the cost of living, Toronto slid down the charts with taxes in the 25 spot, ranking 49 for the cost of housing, 21 for access to housing, and 46 for city affordability.

However, the city made a comeback in the civic infrastructure category ranking 12 for political stability, 9 for safety and security, 9 for minority equality, 30 for LGBT+ equality, 16 for gender equality, 17 for quality of public education, and second for access to healthcare.
