According to the Toronto Police, officers were called to Jane Street and Wilson Avenue at around 11:30 p.m. after reports of multiple shots in the area.
CBC reported that a large crowd had assembled in a parking lot of a strip mall on Beverly Hills Drive to remember the rapper. It is unclear at the moment what the motive was behind the shooting.

Police reported that most of the witnesses left the scene before they could be questioned.
The two injured men, one in his 40s and another in his 20s, later admitted themselves to a nearby hospital.
Both individuals were reportedly suffering from gunshot wounds, with one in serious condition.
