Toronto's Commuters Stranded After A Fire Broke Out On The TTC
Toronto commuters found themselves stranded this morning as the TTC shut down south of Bloor Street.
Around 8:30am this morning, the TTC announced that trains were holding on Line 1 in both directions at St. Andrew Station near King and University due to a fire investigation and service was suspended.
Service holding on Line 1 (YU), both ways at St Andrew station, due to a Toronto Fire investigation. Service turning back at Osgoode and Bloor.
Commuters rushing to Spadina to use the streetcars caused chaos and stranded many looking to find a way to work.
Passengers heading north on Line 1 also found themselves stranded as the trains turning back at Bloor slowed down service in both directions. Fire trucks were seen parked outside.
