Toronto's Guinea Pig Festival Is Happening This Month And It's Beyond Adorable
Toronto is home to some pretty adorable animals, and pet owners love nothing more than to spend the day with their furry friends. While the city has an abundance of adventures to take with your dog, it also hosts an activity for smaller pets. Toronto's Guinea Pig Picnic is happening this month, and it's the perfect place to spend a day with your little piggie friend!
The Toronto "Pignic" is hosting its fourth annual guinea pig party, and all owners, guineas, and little critter lovers are welcome at this adorable picnic. The event will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 22, 2019, in Greenwood Park.
Come join in the guinea pig fun and spend the day with your little buddy! Bring a picnic lunch to enjoy, and don't forget some snacks for your piggle. Participate in some adorable activities like "Know Your Pig's Weight And Win", the "Piggie Prize Wheel", and a meet and greet with Poquita, spokesperson for Lunkarya Guinea Pigs.

Enter your fur baby in some glamourous guinea pig pageant events! There are ten different contests your little pet can show off in, each one cuter than the last. Try for the best guinea pig habitat award, finest patterned pig, best long hair, matching costumes, and more. Your guinea will be famous in no time!

Check out the mini-market for some guinea pig-themed goodies, complete with guinea pig furniture, adorable guinea pig accessories, and critter-approved toys. Don't leave without taking a picture at the selfie station, or seeing your guinea strike a pose on the red carpet.
Your piggy will be looking fabulous at the adorable costume station hosted by Pet Smart, the official sponsor of the event. Dress your guinea in some awesome swag with the special just-for-piggys costumes! You're going to want to take lots of photos of your pet in these hilariously cute outfits. After all, it's every guinea pig's dream to become a unicorn, right?

The event raises money for charities Helping Homeless Pets and Piggles Cares. While admission is free, donations are always appreciated! If you're bringing one or more piggies, make sure you register them.
