IHOP Is Officially Coming To Toronto & Hiring 900 Employees For 15 Locations

IHOP will be opening as early as next year!

Breakfast lovers, unite! If you're a fan of pancakes and all-day breakfast, then this American breakfast joint is about to make all of your dreams come true. IHOP has just announced that it will be bringing 15 locations to the GTA within the next few years. Not only will Toronto's IHOPs bring you amazing breakfast food, but they are also hiring 900 employees.

According to a press release, IHOP will be bringing 15 new locations to the GTA over the next seven years. However, you won't need to wait that long to get your hands on some of their world-famous pancakes. IHOP states that they are expecting to open the first Toronto restaurant by mid-2020.

IHOP, also known as the International House of Pancakes, has been taking over the American market since 1958. As the "home of all things breakfast and everything delicious," it's known for its amazing pancakes and out-there specials. Just last month, American chains released an Addams Family inspired menu.

Now, IHOP is promising to bring this amazing chain to Toronto, and we can't wait. Not only will you be able to stuff your face with breakfast food, but it's also expected to bring around 900 jobs to the area. So make sure to keep your eyes out for job postings.

While IHOP coming to the GTA is exciting for those in the Toronto area, it's not the first Canadian location.

In fact, IHOP has been a popular tourist destination in Niagara Falls since 2008, when they announced their first-ever Ontario location. IHOPs have also been spotted around Canada since 1969.

According to Steve Joyce, Chief Executive Officer, Dine Brands Global, "Canada was the first international market we opened for IHOP back in 1969, making this year our 50th anniversary in the country."

IHOP also announced earlier this year that five new restaurants will also be opening in the Atlantic provinces. So, if you aren't from the GTA area you still might be able to get your hands on some of this amazing breakfast food.

The first Atlantic location in this project is expected to open this December in Moncton.

While Torontonians can expect to see the glowing blue logo hitting the streets of the GTA soon, it's still unclear exactly where these 15 restaurants will be located.
