This story is proof that you can never be too careful with your work-related emails. If they can get Hillary, they'll get you too. Two Ontario doctors are in big trouble after their very explicit emails were leaked....
CTV News just reported that Dr. Troy Drone and Dr. Michael Tjandrawidjaja are now being disciplined for an incident that occurred back in 2016. In 2016, Dr. Drone and Dr. Tjandrawidjaja sent abusive and curse-filled emails to their former superior, the head of the Ontario Medical Association, and now they're in big trouble.
The emails that were sent were in relation to a tentative agreement on physician services called tPSA that was reached between the Ontario Medical Association and the provincial Liberal government.
The OMA promoted the tentative agreement to its members, including the two doctors involved in the incident, before their scheduled meeting in August.
The emails are exchanged between Dr. Drone, Dr. Tjandrawidjaja and the ex-president, Dr. Virginia Walley.
On June 21st, 2016, Dr. Drone wrote to Dr. Walley to “…do your paid job and stop letting this horrible government f*** us around!!! Enough already!! Listen to everyone! Holy f***. For f***s sake???”
In another email on Aug. 1, 2016, Dr. Drone wrote: “Dr. Walley, you are a c***. Crash and burn as you deserve to do!! …Sincerely, F*** YOU and the OMA!!!”
Here are three more emails from Dr. Drone to Dr. Walley on Aug. 11, 2016.
At 6:06 PM, Dr. Drone wrote “F*** off Virginia,” Two minutes later, he followed up with: “F*** off!” At 6:09 p.m., he sent another email that said: “F*** off!”
Both doctors have now been disciplined as a result of the abusive emails. Dr. Drone was issued a one-month suspension and ordered to pay the College $6000 in legal costs. He also has to take professional communication coaching and a class on ethics and boundaries for physicians.
Dr. Tjandrawidjaja was also sentenced to pay $6000 in the College's legal fees. He sent an email to the former OMA president on July 31st, 2016 saying "You are a turd". A few days later he followed up that email saying, "Virginia, how much are the liberals bribing you?"
Dr. Tjandrawidjaja also has to attend professional communication coaching, although he was not suspended.
