Vancouver Aquarium Otter Got A Massive Cake For Her 1st Birthday & She Loved It (VIDEO)
We’re back with another otter video for your viewing pleasure. Today is the first birthday of a Vancouver Aquarium otter and she is celebrating with a massive cake. The cake is literally bigger than her and she is loving every bit of it. We don't know about you, but this is exactly the kind of content we need in our lives right now.
The otters at the Vancouver Aquarium are iconic, to say the least.
Their mischievous behaviour has caught the attention of everyone, to the point where the aquarium has set up live cameras so you can watch them run around all day.
They literally make for the best at-home entertainment and that's exactly what 2020 is all about.
While the aquarium is currently closed to the public, workers are still in the facility tending to the animals. And just because everyone is social distancing doesn’t mean the animals can’t party.
Thursday, April 9 is the first birthday of one of the resident female otters. Tazlina arrived at the aquarium in September 2019 after she was rescued as a pup.
Weighing 1.45 kilograms at the time, she was found in Alaska, completely dehydrated.
Even though she came into the aquarium's care as the youngest pup, she was definitely the one to shake things up and was always willing to learn.
In fact, she was taught simple otter skills like grooming and swimming by rescue staff members.
Today, her rambunctious self is celebrating her first birthday in a big way.
In a video posted by the aquarium, you can see that Taz received a massive birthday cake.
Sporting the words ”Happy 1st birthday,” this “yummy” cake is filled with all the treats otters love.
And by the looks of the video, she is in heaven. Taz is so into the cake that she barely even notices her keepers around her taking videos of her.
Not only is this a great way to show Taz how special she is, but treats like this are great for otter enrichment.
These fishy gifts keep these cuties entertained and full while producing amazing content for all of their fans.
Accompanied by the video are some adorable baby pictures of Taz.
Although she was arguably one of the cutest, and fuzziest, pups, she is even cuter now.
Happy birthday, Taz!
