Walt Disney World's 'Guardians Of The Galaxy' Ride Is FINALLY Opening & Here’s What We Know

It will be the longest indoor roller coaster in the world! 🤯

Calling all Marvel fans, Disney lovers, and all-around roller coaster fanatics! The Guardians of the Galaxy need you to suit up, hop in a spaceship and save Xander's outpost on Earth's EPCOT.

Okay, not exactly, but the highly-anticipated rollercoaster ride, "Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind", is set to open on May 27, 2022, and we have an inside look at what you can expect.

The storytelling rollercoaster takes you on an extraterrestrial pursuit to save the disappearing frontier, and, in turn, save the Andromeda Galaxy.

You'll see characters like Rocket, Groot, Gamora, and Star-Lord helping you on your intergalactic mission.

The Guardians of the Galaxy-themed coaster is the first of its kind in Disney to have a reverse launch. When it opens, it will also be considered one of the longest indoor roller coasters in the world!

You definitely won't want to miss the graphics on this thrill of an adventure ride, and you won't have to. Walt Disney Imagineering tried something new and created this coaster to rotate 360 degrees! So, you'll really feel like you're in space.

The theme park released a teaser video for the new EPCOT attraction, and fans who took to the comment section are over the moon about this news.

Creative Portfolio Executive for Walt Disney Imagineering, Zach Riddley, has been sharing an inside look throughout his Instagram page. From the space carts to the build of the coaster, he shows what the waiting areas will be like, as well as a life-size spaceship constructed for the ride.

Riddley wrote in one of his Instagram posts, "angular designs, striking use of colors, and materials all help tell the story of a Nova Corps facility." All the way down to the floor markings, "every detail is a choice that supports our story," wrote Riddley.

So, are you excited to help save the disappearing base and become a hero for the Andromeda Galaxy? We'll find out in May!
