Watch Out Netflix, Apple's New Streaming Service Is Set To Launch This Spring

Apple has plans to launch it's first streaming service in the first half of 2019.

If you love binge-watching movies and TV shows as much as I do, we've got good news for you! Tech-mogul Apple has plans to launch its first streaming service this spring, and we couldn't be more excited. As a loyal iPhone and Mac user myself, I think it'll definitely be interesting to see what Apple has to bring to the streaming table.

According to The Information, Amazon has plans to dial back its efforts with its video subscription service in the coming months, which lines up with Apple telling its entertainment partners to prepare themselves for a mid-April launch of the service. Although an exact date has not yet been released, we can expect to see the new service within several weeks of the timeframe.

Apple has been preparing for the release of its streaming service for a while now and has already begun acquiring rights and making deals for a number of movies and TV shows. They've also just brokered their first movie deal at the 2019 Sundance Festival.

Because details have been kept so quiet, we're not entirely sure what to expect from this new streaming service yet. It has been said that Apple is considering taking the Amazon-Channels approach to sharing content with their subscribers, along with many other pre-existing streaming services.

Apple isn't the only new service coming this April though. They'll be in direct competition with Disney+, a direct competitor of Netflix that's set to be shown off to investors as of April 11th.

Who will win the battle of the streaming services? Only time will tell! One thing's for sure - we can't wait to feast our eyes on all the awesome new content that will be coming out.
