It's Been A Year Since Trudeau Said Canada Wouldn't Be Back To Normal For At Least A Year

The PM said it would happen once Canada got a vaccine.

It's been a year since Justin Trudeau said it would take a least a year for life to return to normal in Canada.

On April 9, 2020, Trudeau said that "normality, as it was before, will not come back full-on until we get a vaccine."

Speaking in French, he had mentioned that getting back to normal depended on vaccines, which were expected to take at least a year if not more to roll out.

Trudeau also said at the time that Canadians would have to stay vigilant for the coming year.

Now a year later, vaccine doses are being administered but the country is still dealing with COVID-19, which has caused Ontario to enter a shutdown and stay-at-home order and Alberta to move back into Step 1 of its reopening plan.
