At Foxcroft Wine Co., you can experience all the wine country vibes without the trek to California or Europe. The first spot opened in North Carolina's Foxcroft neighborhood in 2004 and the trendy wine bar now has four locations in Greenville, Southpark, Dilworth and Waverly.
The Dilworth location rests in the heart of Charlotte with a commitment to offer the best wines around the world in an inviting and relaxing atmosphere. You'll find endless options when you walk in and spot shelves upon shelves of bottles filling the wall space.
Although they house thousands of bottles of wine in their collection, the current menu features about 40 options. Hopefully the condensed version helps speed up your decision-making process. However, if you're still stuck on which ones to try, you can actually get 2 oz. tastes starting at only $3.50.
You can even try a flight of three elegant Autumn French wines (Dopff & Irion Pinot Blanc, Gonnet Côtes du Rhône Blanc, JM Barthez Bordeaux Blanc) for only $11.50.
Once you complete your rounds of sampling, you are more than welcome to buy a bottle and drink it in-house or take it home with you. Take note that bottles under $30 do have a $10 corkage fee.
With a wide range of pricing, Foxcroft lets customers enjoy the classy experience they'd expect from a wine bar without spending a fortune.
However, if you are working on brushing up your sommelier skills or simply want to splurge, you can definitely go for the pricier vinos.
If your sweet tooth is calling, it may be asking you where the donuts are. You'll find fresh house-made donuts dusted in sugar and served with chocolate and caramel dipping sauces.
