The Isla Guadalupe tour departs from San Diego, and the trip has super clear water, so you’ll get amazing up-close views of all the massive sharks.
It lasts for five days, and the best season to go is from August through October. Since you’ll be diving on this tour, a scuba certification is needed for deep cages.
If you’re looking at the one-day San Francisco Bay tour, the water is a lot colder and won’t be as clear, but you can still see some massive sharks. The boat departs from Berkeley, and you don’t need scuba certification to go.
This tour is also a lot cheaper than the Mexico one. San Francisco Bay tour prices begin at $375 per person.
