You Need To Visit Ontario’s Largest Pumpkin Festival This Fall
Now that summer is coming to a bitter sweet end, it means that it's time to start planning your fall bucket list.
While visiting a pumpkin patch or picking apples at an orchard are typically at the top of all our to-do lists, we've discovered an event that takes basic fall activities to a whole new level.
This fall, be the queen of Instagram by adding a pic at Pumpkinferno - the largest pumpkin festival happening in Ontario. Located in Upper Canada Village, Pumpkinferno looks like it's straight out of Halloweentown, and welcomes pumpkin enthusiasts to stroll through a spellbinding outdoor exhibit that's completely lit up by thousands of pumpkins.
Open select evenings from late September through October, Pumpkinferno transforms Upper Canada Village into a glowing art exhibit, featuring close to 7,000 pumpkins that have been carved and shaped into unique structures and works of art, like massive sugar skulls and dragons.
The structures will light up a kilometer long path, that weaves through the picturesque backdrop of the village.
This fall, all structures will be inspired by Canada 150, so visitors can expect to see Canadian themed carved displays. We're hoping there's a lifelike pumpkin Justin Trudeau.
Complete your visit by stopping by the adorable Harvest Barn Restaurant for dinner or drinks, where you can enjoy 'Dinner After Dark' Pumpkininferno food specials.
So clear your calendars and make room to pay Pumpkinferno a visit this fall. Because what could be more memorable than snapping pics with your BF or BFF at a massive pumpkin festival?
